Revised: Found out that this extension wand has a long male quick connect (qc) plug on one side and a deep female quick connect socket on the other side. Only a long male qc plug can lock into a deep female qc socket. All of the aftermarket quick connect accessories that I have, like spray nozzles or surface cleaner, use short male qc plugs that lock into shallow female qc sockets. I measured the difference in length as about 5/8 inch between a short male plug and the long male plug on this wand. The problem is that the short male qc plugs will not lock into the deep female qc sockets. The long male qc plugs will lock into shallow female qc sockets like the one on the existing pressure wand from the spray gun. Had to buy an additional Powerfit PF31086B quick connect conversion. This has a shallow qc socket with a male 3/8 inch threaded fitting which will fit the second connector with the long qc plug mentioned above. The first additional connector mentioned above also has a deep female qc socket. Took away one star. When everything was all stacked up for maximum length it worked as advertised. When tried to shorten the length and use other qc accessories, that's when problem became evident.
The wand comes with a set of quick connects. These quick connects are different than the one that holds the tips. The male ends are longer. To use, you remove the stock wand on your gun and install the female quick connect to the gun. Then you install the male quick connect to the stock wand. Now that the quick connects are in place you can use your stock wand or remove install this 36 inch extension then add the stock wand to the end of this.
Also the quick connects are for M22 threads. The female end of the wand is for the longer male ends used on this wand. The idea being that you can use up to four of theses for 12 feet of reach. I think that would be pretty wobbly though. At that point I would just use a telescoping wand. Another fitting would be needed to use tips without using the stock wand. I haven't located a fitting like this yet. Hope this helps.
You will need to do this to us this extension with many accessories including the Briggs & Stratton 6195 Quick-Connect Turbo Spray Nozzle. This nozzle has a very short shaft as do the nozzles provided with the spx3000. Further complicating matters, the plastic portion of the sunjoe nozzles extends back and interferes with the release collar on these QD fittings. If you trim the plastic then they will fit. I haven't decided if this is worthwhile to do. You will end up cutting off most if not all of the graphic indicating spray pattern.
