Product Description

This Apache 99023802 pressure washer kit includes a spray gun, wand, quick-disconnect spray tips, and two hose adapters and is intended for use with gasoline and electric pressure washers. The spray gun is rated at 4,000 pounds per square inch (psi) and up to 7 gallons per minute (gpm) and has a safety trigger lock to prevent unintended operation. The 19" wand has a 1/4" quick-disconnect end for simplified spray tip exchange and is rated at 3,600 psi. The spray tips have an orifice size of 3.5 (0.048") and are rated at 3.5 gpm at 4,000 psi. The five color-coded spray tips create 0-degree (red), 15-degree (yellow), 25-degree (green), 40-degree (white), and 65-degree (black) spray patterns for a variety of uses. The black spray tip is a low-pressure tip used to apply soap or chemicals. Two brass hose fittings are included in case there is a need to adapt the spray gun's 3/8" female National Pipe Taper (NPT) inlet to either male metric thread or quick disconnect fitting. This pressure washer kit is suitable for use in high-pressure cleaning applications such as cleaning residential siding or washing equipment.

I have a Honda pressure washer. It works great but I wore out the gun it came with. I ordered a replace from Honda and I wore that one out too. When I took them apart, it has a little plastic tab that, when you squeeze the trigger, controls the water flow. That tab wears out. This APACHE gun has out lasted the previous replacements and has a brass tab, so it’s much more durable. I also like the separate nozzles it includes for different spray patterns.

I have had a Karcher model K2400 HH pressure washer purchased in 2003 and have dealt with lack of pressure build up for at least the last 10 years. I shot WD40 into the water inlet side which seemed to help temporarily. I took the pump cover off, nothing in there that looked improper. Took the plastic cover off of the gun few days ago, nothing adjustable or repairable inside except thought maybe the trigger wasn't pushing the pin in far enough to activate the high pressure side so I ordered this Apache gun.
To get the washer to the high side I briefly removed the spray nozzle and then quickly reinstalled it and pull trigger to get high pressure--had to do that over and over and over.
Fed up I took a chance and bought this Apache gun, the sprayers I didn't need but this Apache had good ratings so bought it. Installed it and pulled the trigger and got pressure, second trigger pull--nothing all over again!
I did what I should have done years ago and did a search on pressure washers not building up pressure, my Karcher K2400 HH was the subject of the video I found. The pressure relief valve or shuttle valve, what ever it may be called sticks. The guy took it apart and lubed with white Lithium grease, fired it up and worked every time.
So I didn't need this washer gun after all.

it was a good replacement for the OEM gun and wand

Bought this in July, 2014; worked very well as a replacement for the gun and wand on my Karcher gas pressure washer. Stored it in our unheated utility shed over the winter (Minnesota) and when I tried to use it this spring (2015), the gun leaked and there was a rattling sound in the housing. After several e-mails and calls to Apache, I found out today (5/13/15) that I should have drained the gun as completely as possible last fall so any water left in the gun would not freeze over winter. Apparently, that's what happened and the plastic parts inside the gun froze and broke. I have ordered another Apache gun, and will be sure to drain it this fall and keep in a warmer place over the winter. Otherwise though, it was a good replacement for the OEM gun and wand.

VERY PLEASED with this (Universal) Apache 99023802 Gun and Wand Kit. It's exactly what I needed to replace damaged Gun and Wand on a Craftsman 2550 PSI Gas Power Washer. Item presents and works as good and/or better than the original Craftsman Parts that came with unit. Quality Made Components, better than Anticipated, Exceed Expectation, Wouldn't Hesitate to Buy Again.

Know, Item has been REVISED, there's no longer a Brass Flange Fitting, as pictured, on the Wand.

Know the Product Description / Details are a bit confusing: 1/4" versus the 3/8". See "WHAT's INCLUDED for actual. Actual is 3/8" and the 1/4" adapter is included so all components fit a Craftsman Gas Power Washer, 2550 PSI, without need of any other fittings.

Know, Item comes in a Factory Sealed Clear Package and it has the BRAND Name of "UNIVERSAL" in large Print, across Front of Package (Apache is not even on Front/Packaging anywhere. That's somewhat alarming because at a glace, you think you were sent the wrong item. Brand Name "Apache" is disclosed, in very small print, above the UPC Label on back of package. Revised Date follows the Apache Product number.

Great Pressure Washer Gun Kit

I have had a Craftsman power washer (2500 psi) for several years. It has been a great machine (although I probably do not use it more than 10-12 hours each year. However, the gun part recently began leaking badly. I was going to replace it from Sears, but they wanted $70 for the gun and another $49 for the extension, plus tax and shipping. That was almost half what I paid for the pressure washer (good sale). As a result, I started checking around for something else. I finally bought this Apache kit for less than $50, including free two day shipping (Prime) based on the reviews. I got the gun, extension AND various tips for that price.

I have used it now for about 1.5 hours, and so far it has worked very well. On inspection, I can't see any difference in quality from the Craftsman unit. Time will tell about overall quality, but at the moment, I recommend this highly. At those prices for replacement parts, no wonder Sears is in trouble economically. If I have problems down the road, I will revisit my review.

Update 2019: I purchased this gun 4 years ago as a replacement for my Costco Snap On pressure washer. When I purchased the gun 4 yrs ago I was frustrated because I had to make trips to home depot and lowes to get an adaptor so the hose would connect to the gun. So, the old gun didn't survive the winter and I bought a replacement last week. However, this new gun comes with 4 different adaptors so it should cover most situations. You will see many complaints in the old reviews about this issue, but is resolved with this new package. Used it to clean the patio and it worked great over 2 hours of use.

Original review 2015: I saw several mixed reviews and a large number of 5 stars. For my homeowner use, power washing the deck, windows, cars, this thing is perfect and more sturdy than I expected. I don't think it's a commercial grade so if you are trying to make a living on this do your homework. I would recommend and repurchase if necessary.

Great Gun. Way better than the cheap ones that come with the discount pressure washers. It is a bit heavier and could use a forearm stock or something as holding it with one hand can be tiring (mind you, for control, you should be using two hands).

It would be nice if it had a swivel fitting at the base, but I'm not sure if that is possible for something rated to 4000 PSI. I'd buy another if I needed it, but it looks like this will last for some time.

Overall the gun seems well made at a very competitive price. The unit comes with a 14 mm i.d. M22 to 3/8” adaptor to fit a standard hose. And several good quality spray nozzles. It’s straightforward to adapt the gun part to a quick release if you don’t want to use the long lance.

My hose however is part of a horrendous Simoniz unit that uses non standard fittings everywhere. That hose had a 15 mm M22 fitting on one end and a 1/4” fitting other. I managed to adapt my hose to the gun with a few adapters strung together. M22 male 15mm hose to -> female15 mm / female 14 mm brass adaptor -> male M22 14 mm to 3/8 female -> 3/8” male / 3/8” male -> 3/8” female gun. My lesson learned - no matter how much a Simoniz pressure washer is on sale, just run away.
